It feels like it’s been a while since I last wrote a post. The last one was focused on eating healthy—more specifically, eating natural, nutritious foods. Since then, life has kept me pretty busy. I’ve taken on a few different projects that have consumed a lot of my time. One major project was a complete reset of my server. In fact, this website is now hosted on my very own server, alongside a payment portal called BTC Pay.
Lately, I’ve been contemplating a shift in focus—from running a business called Simulation Now to establishing a broader community centered around Houston BTC (Houston Bitcoin). I envision BTC as a multipurpose acronym. It can stand for Houston Bitcoin, but it could also mean Bringing Together Creatives or Building This Community. Whatever it means to you, it resonates with the idea of fostering a collaborative, Bitcoin-centric community here in Houston.
As I become more involved with Bitcoin, I continue to expand my technical knowledge, diving deeper into both network communication technologies and web development. Alongside these projects, I’ve also been diligently studying cloud computing, particularly with AWS. So, if there’s ever a significant gap between my posts, know that it’s likely because I’m immersed in building and working on new developments, rather than writing about them.
They say, “actions speak louder than words,” and lately, I’ve been taking a lot of action. From starting with nothing to setting up my own server and a payment portal, it’s been quite the accomplishment—though I realize that not everyone may fully grasp the complexity behind it. Building a server, configuring it to communicate properly, and ensuring everything runs smoothly has been a challenging but deeply fulfilling task. It’s a testament to how far I’ve come in my technical journey, and I’m excited to keep pushing forward.
I’ll continue sharing updates and making posts as I build. If you’ve taken the time to read this, thank you. Currently, this website and community have no external funding, so if you’d like to support our mission, consider donating—we accept Bitcoin!
